The Joint Commission announced this week that its annual “Update 1″ to its accreditation manuals will be released in April. This announcement affects the following programs: ambulatory care, behavioral health care, critical access hospital, home care, hospital, laboratory, long term care and office-based surgery. There are no updates expected for disease-specific care or healthcare staffing services programs.
