The CDC has made six additions to its list of COVID-19 symptoms.
Along with coughing, fever, and shortness of breath, COVID-19 symptoms also include:
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
The CDC says that like the original three symptoms, the six new ones take two to 14 days to appear after exposure. The agency says that those with the following symptoms should seek immediate medical treatment:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- Confusion or inability to arouse
- Bluish lips or face
