The Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) has rolled out a new medication safety campaign that aims to encourage adoption of consensus-based medication safety best practices. A free webinar will be held on January 30 to discuss the ISMP’s best practices, which include dispensing vincristine in a minibag of a compatible solution and not in a syringe, using a weekly dosage regimen default for oral methotrexate and educating patients, and measuring and expressing patient weights only in metric units.
