Accredited organizations that provide diagnostic imaging services have until July 1, 2016 to comply with The Joint Commission’s requirement for an annual performance evaluation of imaging equipment.

The Joint Commission posted its new and revised diagnostic imaging requirements in January, which are effective July 1, 2015. Organizations, including ambulatory care organizations that have achieved Advanced Diagnostic Imaging certification, must complete the annual equipment evaluation by July 1, 2016.
