The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) recently took a deep look at The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals and how they can bring about change in their recent call, “Highly Reliable Hospitals: The Work Ahead.”

On the call was not only IHI’s president and CEO, Maureen Bosignano, but the head of The Joint Commission, Mark R. Chassin, MD, FACP, MPP, MPH. The two discussed the goals and the concept of high reliability, which Chassin calls a “game changer.”

If you’d like to listen to the broadcast, it can be found on the IHI’s website here.
