The Joint Commission has released pre-publication standards for behavioral healthcare organizations that provide prevention and wellness promotion services. The new standards require that the organization’s prevention and wellness promotion services have a written plan, are managed by trained or certified staff to meet the needs of an identified community, and are evaluated and reported to leadership.
