The World Health Organization (WHO) recently released a report examining the problem of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), which threatens the prevention and treatment of various infections.
The current situation could lead to a post-antibiotic era where the most common of infections and minor injuries result in death. The report calls for better surveillance of AMR and improved information on bacteria.
